5 Hair Trends All Over Instagram

What a year it has been so far, we applaud you for sticking it out, staying home, wearing your mask, staying 6ft apart, patiently waiting for us, and simply being kind to one another. And now that the city has reopened, we want gush on all the hair trends you’ll find everywhere on Instagram.

Let’s not pretend that you didn’t think about cutting your own hair at least once, or maybe you did and have been wearing it up in a bun since. Either way, these looks are inspired by the DIY haircuts and colours we’ve all seen online for the last four months.

The Lob: If you had a bob or a micro bob when shutdown happened and haven’t touched those kitchen scissors, then you definitely have grown the lob. Loved by many celebs (ahem, Kardashian clan), this cut is by far the easiest to manage and style for everyday wear.

Balayage: This low maintenance look couldn’t be more fortuitous right now. If you want to grow out your colour but not a fan of the harsh line of regrowth, try breaking up your base with some babylights.

Bangs: Curtain bangs, side-swept bangs, shaggy bangs, piecey bangs, blunt bangs. We don’t discriminate. Fringes are making it big with all the ways you can style them.

Bronde: Move over icy white blondes and hello warmer hues! Because you don’t have to lighten your hair as much, warm tones are actually gentler on your hair. A bonus in our books!

Modern Crimp: Sure the beach wave is a classic style, but loosely crimping your hair is fast becoming a trend we can get on board with.
