Somewhere between a chin grazing bob and long flowing layers lies maybe the perfect length of all; Queue the mid-length.
Don’t get us wrong, we love a good bob, but sometimes you just want to grow out your hair and try something new but not too crazy either.
You can say that this is the “awkward” grow-out stage, it doesn’t have to be. With the right length, a middy can be effortlessly chic.
Too long and you're hair is just hanging, too short and it's starting to do that flicking thing. Sitting just below the collarbone, flattering on all face shapes and hair types, the middy is versatile and the styling possibilities are endless.
For certain cuts, we’re great fans of adding invisible layers in order to create shape. But the Middy is the exception to the rule. Caught between layers? Go for a more weighted bottom to give that fuller look, think ruler straight across.
When it comes to styling, do it your way! Take advantage of the new length and switch up your part, flip your middle part to the side for more height and shape. Try beach waves or a gentle crimp for movement. We always advise to use a heat protectant before using any hot tools. To give easy relaxed waves, spray Sea Salt Spray to your mid-length to your ends and scrunch in, allow hair to air dry.
