Research, Plan & Book

The moment that engagement ring is on your finger you should start planning your Wedding day look. Brides should have an idea of the theme, and the style of dress to wear months before booking hair and makeup. Hair trials should be scheduled 3-6 months in advance with your preferred stylist.

What to expect at a consultation

A Bridal Trial generally lasts 1.5-2 hours long and consists of trying two different looks. Bring any references you have, hair accessories, and images of your dress. While looking for hair inspiration keep in mind your own hair length and texture. Your stylist may also recommend using extensions that will give your look more hold, and will allow more room for creativity.

Tip: it helps to visualize best when wearing something of a similar neckline to your trial.

Honesty is Key

Be open and honest with your stylist, they're on your team. Not sharing your hair history can lead to surprises that can change your hair goals and result in having a plan B to accommodate your wedding timeline.

How to take care and grow healthy hair leading up to the Big Day

Remove split ends. Micro dusting is a necessity to maintaining healthy hair, this should be every 8-10 weeks leading up to your Wedding Day. Also using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type can make a huge difference. We also suggest including a weekly collagen mask to your hair care regime. If you colour your hair, continue as you normally would, giving yourself at least a month before the big day.
